How we compare family apps
Our comparisons and rankings are written by the team that makes Famiyo. They are not neutral reviews: they show what Famiyo does well for families with kids, and every fact about another app is checked against that app's own website, help center or store listing.
What we look at
- Calendar, chores and rewards in one app
- Families with kids juggle events and chores; one app means one place to look.
- Kids on their own phone
- Whether a child can join without their own email address or account.
- iPhone and Android
- Whether the whole family can use it, whatever phones they have.
- Free plan
- What is included without paying, and whether the free plan shows ads.
- Extra costs
- Hardware you have to buy and features locked behind a subscription.
- Languages
- How many languages the app is available in.
Where the facts come from
- Official websites, pricing pages and help centers of each app.
- App Store and Google Play listings (prices in US dollars, US store).
- We only say an app lacks a feature when its own feature list or plan comparison leaves it out, or its help center says so. When we cannot confirm something, we do not mention it.
- We keep the source and the check date for every fact about another app.
- We do not publish star ratings, scores or reviews of other apps.
Facts were last checked on October 8, 2026. We review them at least every six months and whenever an app changes its plans.
